The Client
Fullscript is an enterprise-scale healthcare platform operating across Canada and the United States. It supports a large ecosystem of practitioners and patients, where high-quality product data is essential not only for commerce but as a trusted component of the overall care experience.
The Challenge
Before Akeneo, product data was fragmented across ERP, eCommerce, and digital asset management systems, with no single source of truth. Enrichment relied on manual workflows and cross-department collaboration between content, legal, and management teams. Complex technical data management across Canada and the US added further challenges, while integrations with a fully custom commerce platform increased overall complexity. Supplier data onboarding remained inefficient, and governance was reactive rather than strategic. Although Fullscript had committed to implementing a PIM, they required strategic guidance to structure the transformation: centralizing data, streamlining workflows, improving data quality, and establishing governance as a scalable, organization-wide capability.
Solution Architecture
This transformation was driven by a close partnership between Fullscript, Datmos, and Akeneo. Fullscript brought deep healthcare expertise, strong internal technical capabilities, and clear product standards. Datmos translated these requirements into a scalable PIM strategy aligned with their operational reality and long-term roadmap. Together, teams aligned on priorities, reduced implementation risks, and ensured adoption through structured governance and workflows. This collaborative model enabled rapid delivery without compromising quality, balancing speed with robust architecture, compliance needs, and operational readiness. The result was a solution deeply embedded in Fullscript’s ecosystem delivered in under six months and designed to evolve with its growth.
